The Turkey Day Tradition

Rio Vista Center has a longstanding, annual tradition called Turkey Day. Every year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, hundreds of families from the community gather to receive a food box during this special, holiday distribution. The food box usually contains a turkey or another hearty protein along with all the fixings for a celebratory meal. This year, over 1,200 families were served. We are grateful to all the volunteers and donors who help make this event possible.  The Baptist Paper recently featured Turkey Day in their December volume. Check out the article and learn more about how Turkey Day meets the needs of the community here.
